Care Ministry

How we care at Christ Church

Care in Growth Groups

These small groups provide a caring community around God’s word and prayer. It’s where we can grow as wholehearted disciples and develop a deeper relationship with Jesus and others. If you are not in a Growth Group, we encourage you to sign up for one.

Mental health, counsellors, and other support services and resources

The latest statistics indicate that 1 in 5 Australians will experience a mental health disorder in any twelve-month period and a quarter of those will have more than one condition.

We have created a Support Services page to help you find information about…

  • Mental health support

  • Practical support services

  • Domestic abuse

  • Pornography and associated betrayal trauma

Care ministry (crisis and chronic care)

The Care Ministry provides additional support in crisis situations, or in instances of severe or chronic illness, unemployment, domestic violence or relationship breakdown. Care Ministry carers are church members equipped to provide emotional and practical support, including visiting, Bible reading, prayer and phone calls, meals and transport.
