Marriage: A Freedom to Serve

Our focus this week, as we continue to share Christ Church Care resources during this season of social-distancing, is on marriage.

Paul's letter to the Ephesians and the portrait of marriage within it was highly counter-cultural in its day — and it remains so today.

In this talk from Ephesians 5:21-33, we look squarely at matters of headship and submission — terms so easily misunderstood and misused in the world. When we understand them within the terms of the gospel and the ways in which Jesus has served us, we see that these roles are designed to bring God great glory and us great good.

Healthy, godly marriages bless a home and a church. If you are a couple, we encourage you to listen to this together. It's also a talk for those who are single, those who are keen to be married and those who wish to support those that are.
