Making the most of Mondays

Have you got a friend or family member who is not yet a Christian?

Do they know that you are a Christian?

Can you plan to go out on a Monday night in the next 6 weeks?

If you answered yes to all of those questions, then Share Life Mondays are for you and your friend or family member.

Monday night dinners are perfect for anyone wanting to take the conversation about Jesus further. Yes, the dinners exist to facilitate conversation. Share Life Mondays are not church. They start at 7pm with dinner and conversation, there is a 10 min talk just before 8pm and then there is lots of chatting around tables with the Bible open until 9pm. There is no awkward American video and no long talk. They are a conversation opportunity focussed on who Jesus is, why he matters, and what he wants you to do.

They really are the perfect opportunity for people like you to take the conversation further with a friend or family member. But, it’s possible you don’t yet believe me so let’s blow up a few misconceptions.

First, it’s not a course. It’s just regular dinners that provide a weekly opportunity to take the conversation about Jesus further. There are 6 weeks left this term. Come one week, come fortnightly, come to them all. It doesn’t matter. If you and your friend come each week you will get a coherent presentation about Jesus but the nights are designed so you can come as a one off. So the bar is low and the opportunity is simple.

Second, it’s not awkward. The room is full, the meal is great, the short talks are sharp, the table leaders are well trained, the conversation goes where the guests want it to go. If you are worried that your friend or family member might find it weird, why not come along one week yourself and check it out. You don’t need to bring a friend to come - in fact, we would love you all to come once so you can grow in confidence in what we are doing on Mondays. Just register and come to check it out.

Third, while there is material for each night, the reason Mondays are perfect for your friends and family is that the conversation can be focussed on the questions that matter to them. I gave the talk last Monday and at my table straight afterwards we jumped into real conversation about the real things that mattered to the real unbelievers sitting at the table. There is nothing forced, it’s all just real.

Fourth, it’s not just young people nor just adults in their 60s. There is a true demographic mix and we aim to place people at tables with demographics in mind. That is, if you come to mornings, we place you and your friend with other mornings people and so on.

So, I really cannot encourage you enough to bring a friend. The next 6 Mondays are perfect for your friends and family. They are perfect for someone who might reject an invite to church but is keen for a chat. They are perfect for someone you are in conversation with already. They are perfect for all those who just want to work Jesus out. They are perfect for those who are asking questions, intrigued by what you believe or just want to understand Jesus more.

Share Life Mondays are truly the perfect opportunity to extend the conversation you’re already having. So when are you coming?

Of course, the person who wants to look into the heart of Jesus might be you! Come. Join us. Be a part of it.

Share Life Mondays is running weekly until March 31. Register below and we’ll see you there.
